Good morning sunshine! The Sun must have risen right next to her, in her bed! Her eyes complete her smile. But is there something lurking behind? She renders others speechless with this serpentine print risqué blouse. Check out the incredibly beautiful scales of the Red Spotted Pit Viper and the blouse she wears with so much aplomb is just it. She is clever, crafty, supple and wears the attitude on her sleeves (actually not!) We love it – anything which is a borrowed inspiration from this varied Nature of ours, is worthy of admiration.
Polyester is a synthetically manufactured fabric that is known for its durability and a characteristic texture. The making of this blouse from fabric is an extensive process where our karigars and tailors come together. First, the master tailor makes a pattern on a brown paper for each size. Our karigars then trace this pattern onto the netted fabric of the blouse. This is then secured to a wooden frame for the hand embroidery to be done. Once this is done, the glitter is pasted onto the design and left to dry. When the fabric is finally ready, it goes to the tailors for the final cutting and sewing. And then behold! the magic of the blouse comes alive!

I find myself melting into fluid as I give in to the water and readily sink deeper. It is strange that the water doesn’t sweep me away with its ferocity that seems so raw from land. It gently rocks me up and down like I was just born into this world. The water talks to me and it sounds like the voice of an old friend.

Art does not have to be something that we admire from a distance. Especially in our culturally rich country, art has a place in most of the things that surround us and the clothes that we wear are the perfect platforms to showcase our very own identity through art. Indian art forms certainly have enough art forms that you can choose from to tell the world who you are. Among the best of such art forms is the art of embroidery.
The art primarily involves making patterns on fabric by sewing using a needle and various types of threads or beads. Although embroidery has been a part of various cultures across the world, Indian embroidery has always been regarded to be very intricate and exquisite. Our country’s history has shaped the development of embroidery. The art of embroidery is so evolved in our country that almost every state has its own special kind of embroidery today. Although the British rule did cause a setback to handicrafts in India, the resurrection of embroidery after Independence has been remarkable. Intricate embroidery from India is valued world over.
Embroidery work on fabric is very popular and involves a process that consists of various stages. First, various types of popular Indian motifs and artistic designs are first created on paper. These designs are then traced onto the saree or fabric and then the embroidery is done by expert artisans. The art of embroidery is passed down from generation to generation and the nuances of hand embroidery can hardly be matched by machines. Creating art on the canvas of fabrics is definitely something that has an innate beauty that adds a lot of value to apparel.

She had been through a lot, but that’s exactly what made her come out stronger than ever. She thanked those scars, heartbreaks, betrayals, and those fake promises, because they gave her an edge in life. Today, she wears that pain around her neck, like a necklace of pearls because that is her ornament, her priceless possession because it made her realize her true potential, her actual worth.
This story is inspired by the endangered “Sea Holly”, a stunning flower that is also known as a treasure in the world of ornamental plants.

On a trip to the art gallery, she saw a work of art that reminded her of a dear friend. Helena had been an exchange student at her university, and they’d quickly become friends, bonding over their mutual love for classical music and poetry. That spring semester flew by – they’d been inseparable, attending gigs and open mic events around the city, hosting sleepovers or simply loitering at cafes. When it was finally time for Helena to leave, she felt as though her heart was broken. As their days apart turned into months and those months into years, their communication slowed down and eventually stopped altogether. But they both knew that in their hearts, they would always cherish that semester. A time when they felt happy, content, seen and appreciated. Helena wasn’t a fair weather friend, but she was an unforgettable source of solace like spring.
Let this gorgeous green cotton blouse be a reminder of your most pleasant memories and a harbinger of good times to come.
Handloom cotton is handwoven by our weavers on mechanical looms. The process is time and labour-intensive, using techniques that have been passed down across generations of artisans. The resultant fabric is extraordinarily soft, breathable and resilient, and also drapes very well. Using handloom cotton not only helps us to work with smaller weavers but also plays an important role in reducing the environmental footprint of the garments we produce.

This beige and black Tussar blouse with beautiful Kantha detailing is a must-have!
The Tussar silk is a material that is synonymous with richness and lush beauty. This material is woven using silk threads obtained from the cocoons of silkworms belonging to the moth genus Antheraea. Since most of these silkworms are found in forest areas, Tussar silk is also known to be a wild silk variety or a forest product. The characteristic features of this material are the deep gold colour that the silk exudes and the amazing texture. This kind of silk is thicker than normal silk but needs to be taken care of and preserved since the fibres are shorter and can result in a decrease in durability. But then, anything precious has to be taken care of, right? The natural sheen of this fabric is inimitable and is perfect for festive occasions as well as when you want the spotlight on you!

It was as though all the stars had aligned in her favour for that one moment. Her eyes skimmed the room, only to meet piercing brown orbs that captivated her. Time seemed to stand still as they gazed at one another and then pulled away with shy smiles, which continued to be exchanged through the course of the party. Yet, neither could muster to courage to speak to the other. And that was the last she saw of him. No one knew who he was or where he had come from; so, she chose to preserve his image safely in the confines of her heart. She’d often visit that image to relive that moment, but never for too long lest her heart crave what she could never have.
Years later, on a cold winter’s evening, as she was strolling along through the city with her partner’s fingers intertwined with hers, she saw those brown eyes and the gentle smile once again. Those intense eyebrows raised slightly in realisation. Like her, he was with a special someone whose world revolved around him. In that moment, there wasn’t an ounce of envy or regret between them; but sincere happiness that each had found the life and love of their dreams.
Live your most precious and unforgettable moments in this sequin-studded blouse.

As the sun descends into its nightly slumber and the shadows lengthen, we walk back to the pier one final time. As the fiery red of the evening settles into the velvety blackness of the night, we decide to wait just a little longer. We wait until the sky is speckled with myriad constellations of twinkling stars, until the moon dips behind the cover of ebony clouds, until our phone screens remind us of the train that leaves at the break of dawn. We capture this moment for eternity in our mind’s eye, and vow to preserve it forever. Someday, we will return to this moment again. Someday, it will be just the way it once was.
